On July 1st, the kick-off meeting for the compilation of the "BeiDou Navigation Satellite System" series and the first meeting of the editorial board were held in Beijing, marking the comprehensive launch of the compilation of China's first series of books systematically introducing the construction achievements of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, which is included in the series of activities celebrating the second anniversary of the launch of the BeiDou-3 system. The series is edited by Academician Yang Changfeng, the chief designer of the BeiDou system, and specially invited Academician Sun Jiadong, Academician Tan Shusen, and Researcher Li Zuhong, senior advisors of the BeiDou system, as advisors. Led by chief engineers and authoritative experts from various systems and fields, the series is compiled by frontline personnel involved in the system construction tasks, representing the highest standard of BeiDou system engineering construction and application practice.

This series of books has been selected as a key publication plan in the "14th Five-Year Plan" Development Plan for the Publishing Industry by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. It will deeply condense the unique innovative achievements of Beidou-3, comprehensively elaborate on system design principles, deeply describe key core technologies, and innovatively showcase service application scenarios, providing a systematic, authoritative, and professional reference book for the vast number of scientific researchers in China's satellite navigation field.
