On July 11th, the first large-scale cruise rescue vessel in the Taiwan Strait, the "Haixun 06", was officially commissioned in Pingtan, Fujian. It is currently the largest and most capable official vessel in the Taiwan Strait.
The "Haixun 06" vessel supports global satellite navigation systems such as the Beidou system and GPS, and is equipped with a network data center that integrates computing, storage, and communication functions. It possesses the ability for integrated data exchange, communication coordination, and joint command across "land, sea, air, and space", and can fuse, overlay, report, and distribute optoelectronic, radar, and meteorological data. It can analyze and trace information such as command situations, comprehensive office work, and equipment status, achieving multiple functions such as on-site situation monitoring, special task handling, emergency simulation and deduction, unified communication dispatch, and law enforcement resource inquiry.
It is understood that the "Haixun 06" vessel possesses the capability to search for multiple types of targets, such as vessels in distress and individuals overboard at sea. It can carry out search and rescue missions with fixed routes, speeds, and areas, and when paired with professional rescue helicopters, it makes human life rescue more convenient and efficient. The "Haixun 06" vessel can accommodate 200 rescued individuals at a time and provide basic medical care. Apart from human life rescue, it also possesses certain emergency response capabilities for dangerous accidents such as vessel collisions, fires, pollution, loss of control, and grounding.
Fujian and Taiwan are separated by a narrow strip of water and face each other across the sea. The "Haixun 06" vessel will play a significant role in promoting maritime exchanges across the strait and deepening cooperation in maritime emergency response. Furthermore, the "Haixun 06" vessel will, in the future, be assigned by the Ministry of Transport to participate in transnational patrols and international multilateral exercises, carry out international maritime rescue missions, deeply engage in international maritime affairs, assist China in deepening exchanges and cooperation with neighboring countries and regions, disseminate China's maritime management concepts and technologies, and become a new business card for China to strengthen international maritime exchanges and cooperation and demonstrate its great power demeanor.
